Matt Burrows, now in his fifteenth season with the MMB, joined the Michigan staff in 1998 as development director for the Marching and Athletic Bands program. His duties also include management of the major gifts program in the Southern States region for the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Prior to his appointment on staff, Matt was a member of the Drumline in the Michigan Marching Band and Hockey Band, serving in leadership capacities in both ensembles. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Michigan.

Matt has been a featured presenter on the topic of fundraising at the National Collegiate Marching and Athletic Band Symposium and has advised the Clemson University Tiger Band Association on their development activities.

He holds an honorary membership in the Nu Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi.
