Lindsay Bronnenkant

307 Lindsay Bronnenkant is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Wind Conducting at the University of Michigan. Prior to studying at Michigan, Lindsay served as Director of Bands at the Aquinas Institute of Rochester, where she led the Concert Band, Middle School Band, and Jazz Ensemble and taught History of Rock ‘n’ Roll and general music. She also served as Director of the University of Rochester Pep Band, Director of the Newark High School Parade Band, and Interim Conductor of the Brighton Symphony Orchestra. Each summer Lindsay assists with a week-long high school wind ensemble workshop hosted by the Eastman Community Music School. A composer, Lindsay has had the opportunity to guest conduct several college, high school, and community ensembles throughout western New York on original works. She was awarded the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Mike Moss Conducting Grant in 2016. 

Lindsay is an alumnus of Nazareth College (B.M. Music Ed., 2014), where she received awards for Excellence in Instrumental Conducting and Excellence in Student Teaching (Band). Prior to her musical studies, she also studied science at the University of Rochester (B.S. Brain and Cognitive Sciences, 2010). Her undergraduate conducting mentors include Dr. Jared Chase, Mrs. Nancy Strelau, and Dr. Mark Scatterday.
